OK, so I want to get rid of the grey five spokes that came stock. I like the bullitt design and found some replicas in black instead of dark grey that look really nice. But 17's or 18's? Did some window shopping and there is wider variety of sizes for the 18's, especially getting closer to the 295, 305 area.

So what to do...17X9 and 17X10.5 or 18X9 and 18X10

(Don't really want to mix diameters, I think it looks funny) :notnice:

Also, what would be the best tire width for said rims...

Im a fan of the 17x9 in the front and 17x10.5 in the rear. Reason being is that I personally do not like the added weight of a 18" wheel. Its like 10lbs per wheel more or something like that. Thats just me, and also 17" tires are usually a tad bit cheaper.

I hear you there..

What about tire width? 285 or 295 on the 10.5? Or can I get away with like...305/315?

I'm a fan of 18x9 with 265/40/18 or 275/40/18 easier to rotate. But as Scott stated they are a little heavier and cost more, especially the tires.

I currently have 18x9 - 265/35/18 but will be switching to 275/40/18 when the time comes to replace.

You can get a 305 or 315 easy with the 10.5" wheel.

Yes, but how will that look? I want to seriously avoid the way the drag radials I have on the stock rims. :stubborn: 275 is TOO wide. I don't even put the full tread width on the ground cuz the freakin sidewall bulge. So would a 305 on a 10.5" rim sit pretty much straight up and down on the sidewall?

Here is Flashbang756's (member on this site) car.

Its a 95 vert, but the same wheel/tire sizes would fit any 94-04.
He has:
17x9 Wheel Replica Bullitts (front) 255/40 Nitto 555's
17x10.5 Wheel Replica Bullitts (rear) 315/35 BFG DR's

Go 17s.....18s throw off your speedo(it's minor, but it's still off).

Also...if you are doing a daily driver 17X9s all around might be good due to tire rotation.

But, if rotation isn't a concern....17X9s and 17X10.5s. The deep dish bullitts look wicked. Having some 'fatties'(or 'meats') would look great.

Once I get my suspension taken care of, I planning on some 17X9 and 17X10.5 polished bullitts.

I'd be worried that the finish on the Ford 17X8 wouldn't match the finish of the Aftermarket 17X10.5.

I guess I neglected to mention there are some tuners that can compensate for this.

Ya, not much worried aout the spare issue since I don't currently carry one anyway. There is quite literally NOTHING behind the front seats except the sound deadening material that glued to the floor pan...which brings me to my next post...more on that soon

Well you cna still use the stock spare tire even if you have 18's. Just make sure you dont run a huge tire compared to the stock size and it shoudl work out fine.

By stock size i mean keeping the same overall outside diameter.
