Tune Up?
I've always changed my oil, and infrequently I even change my fuel filter, when it looks dirty I change my air filter as well. New Exedy clutch/pressure plate/pilot/tob are going in next week.
I want to get my car into tip top shape this summer so that when the time comes to sell it this winter I won't need to cut the price to match the condition. It has 150k miles. What else should be involved in a thorough tune up? Thanks!

So I bought a serpentine belt, new plugs, new O2 sensors, oil, air filter, and fuel filter. Is there anything else that I should change before putting it up for sale? I was thinking it might be time for timing chains, but that is not something I'm looking forward to.

Sounds good to go. If you want you cold do a rear oil change? I do know that you're ball joints might be worn out. I need to change mine soon at 145K. But that's if you want to go threw that. As for timing chains you could pull the cover and use a light and you should be able to see the guides. Mine were worn and were coming threw at 148K.
Good luck

Rear oil I would hope is alright. I insalled the IRS at 130k miles, and it had less than 20k when I picked it up.
I'll see how we're running when I get everything else in the car before I decide on the chains. The motor only had a couple thousand miles on it when I picked it up 20k miles ago.
I changed the ball joints last year with some Steeda X1's.
Thanks!

Sounds good. Hate to hear you're selling the Mustang, but things happen.
Wish I could ****** that IRS out of the back though!

The car has just been too unreliable. Head gasket I could understand at 140k miles. Throwing a rod I just do not get. Two clutch replacements in under 30k miles is absurd. Alternator going bad was not a huge surprise, but having the replacement (PA Performance) go bad after one year, and having to send it back to them for a few days with it gone a total of a couple of weeks was rough. Lastly, a stream of misfires in different cylinders for different reasons; cops on two, a collapsed spark plug on another, and a failed wire on the last - btw, whoever designed the wiring harness for the cops to have seven of them go through the main harness junction, and the last through a secondary junction box should never design a wiring loom again. I just can't afford to keep dropping large amounts of money and time on this car just because it's temperamental.

I think it's cursed actually. It seems to me that these cars usually start getting old and start nickel and dimeing you. I've had electrical issues on mine but nothing major. For now that is.
