Superfly SN95's Progress Report
Well, Pete(aka cntchds) convinced me to start my own thread and I have finally gotten around to it.
Anyway, my name is Luis/Superfly SN95, formally known as Superfly S197 , and I'm a proud owner of a manual 2000 Mustang GT. She's Atlantic Blue with medium graphite interior and already had mild mods (springs, wheels, CAI, and exhaust) when I got her. Since I took hold of her I tried to name her but nothing stuck. About two weeks ago, I'm walking toward her, thinking of absolutely nothing, and her name literally pops into my head. Hope. At first, I was a little confused as to what the hell the name meant but I slowly connected the dots and it all made sense.
These past two years have been trying to say the least; financial woes, emotional events, and stressful times have been hurtles to deal with. Hoping for a better future, I stay afloat and slowly, but surely, things keep getting better. Her name fits perfectly and it's a constant reminder that things will get better. And just like my personal life, I will be fixing her up, piece by piece.
Now for what everyone really wants, pics!
Here's a few of when I first got her
An artsy-fartsy one
And some that my friend shot
My plans for the exterior are now about 95% done and here's the details on that list:

My plans for the exterior are now about 95% done and here's the details on that list:
- Mach 1 Chin spoiler - It's sitting in my room awaiting install. I purchased it from my local dealership for just $115.
- Brighter fog light bulbs - Already installed and loving them. I decided to go with GE Nighthawks (893 bulb size) from Amazon.
- Plastic license plate frames - In my room and soon to be on Hope. A plain black, two-holed plastic license plate is impossible to find locally so I purchased two from eLicenseplateframes.com.
- Smoked headlights - Went on as soon as they got here. I have heard nothing but great reviews from this eBay store so, that's who I went with. I'm very happy I did because the fit, finish, and durability are fantastic.
- Brighter headlight bulbs - Already installed and extremely happy I got them. IMO, Phillips' X-treme Power bulbs are the way to go if you're not going HID. They're much brighter than stock and retain the yellow-ish light instead of the gaudy fake-HID color. I purchased my 9007 bulbs through Bulbs.com.
- Mach 1 grille delete - Installed the day I picked it up from the dealer, which by the way, hooked me up with a 3-piece for the cost of a 2-piece. Word of advise, befriend your local parts guy at Ford and getting good guy discounts will not seem so far fetched
- Antenna mod - It was my first mod as soon as I got home. I took the easy way out and swapped antennas with my prior Mustang. The antenna now sits close to the roof line instead of outer space.
- Rear bumper vinyl inserts - I have them sitting here but will be installing them tomorrow. The prior owner had installed silver inserts but it was a little too loud for my taste so I ordered matte black inserts from Stangmods. Yeah, I could have gone with the cheaper eBay ones but I like the fact that Stangmods' inserts are licensed by Ford and I can eat the extra $10 for that.
- OE hood scoop - It'll be on the back burner for a little because I want to move on to my next to-do list; it's a bigger priority right now.
- Misc. - I'm going to spray the antenna, windshield wiper arms, and license plate frames the same satin black paint so that the "smooth black parts" of the exterior match.

Awesome name man! Do love the BAB! We've got a SN95 resurgence going on here!
Let me know how the vinyl insert thing goes, I wanna put some white/chrome lettering on mine

I'm extremely happy with my SN95; she may be slow but mods are cheap and the bug bites just as bad.
I'll let you know how the vinyl insert goes tomorrow morning. I ran out of time today although, it's still hot enough to do right now.
Don't be hatin'
Thanks
So, you love the wheels but hate everything else?

Thank you!
I'm keeping it.
What kind of spacers did you use for the rear? Any rear shots?
