Removing and Installing Stock Side Skirts

I'm sure someone here can help me with this:

how hard is it to pull off the stock side skirt from under the door. It's raining today and I can't really get a look but it looks like there is a long skirt under the door and then a cap on the fender that plugs into it. It looks like they are screwed in in the wheel wells and then held up the rest of the way with push fasteners. Is that right?

I hit a retaining wall in my uncle's pitch black driveway last night and destroyed the side skirt on the passenger side. I was thinking it might be a little cheaper to buy the parts and have someone paint them and then install them myself. Plus I won't have to be without my car while it's being done. On the other hand, it doesn't look like that much labor besides prep and paint so it might not really be worth the hassle.

Never mind, went and got an estimate at lunch. The labor is like 27.00 so it's not really worth messing around. I just hate being without a car but the guy said he could have it done in a day.

Unfortunately, I have to have that, along with my passenge side door fixed, so I can commiserate with you. Unfortunately, I'm sure it'll cost me a lot more then $27

That sucks.

That's just labor for the installation but the whole job isn't that bad either, it's right around 300.00 for everything. The only issue is if there is any damage underneath but I couldn't see anything. It thought it would be closer to 5 bills so I'm happy. I should use the extra cash for night driving lessons.

Night driving lessons. Ran over car jack this morning and pushed mine out 1/2" on the driver side. Looks like will hammer into place though. Send me some money for driving forward through a garage door lessons please.
