Question for Convertible owners regarding the boot...

I'm new to owning a Mustang convertible, and I'm getting ready to take my 1998 on a weekend car show/road trip. My question is, how to you take the boot with you? I "thought" it would fit in the trunk, when that didn't work I thought I could put it in the back seat and that didn't look promising either. So were do you put the boot when you want to bring it with you, but you're driving with the top up???

If the car originally came with the factory boot, then it came with a vinyl pouch for it as well. The boot wings fold inward, and the pathetic example of a pouch is supposed to keep it folded within. This allows you to store it inside the trunk, but not without taking up a lot of real estate. This is why most boots are kept in garages, and end up lost/damaged years after the car it was supposed to go on was sold.

You can probably find an aftermarket vinyl boot that can be folded for storage and not take up too much trunk space.
