Power Window not working

I am trying to pinpoint a power window problem with a 2003 Mach 1. The problem is intermittent, sometimes the drivers side window will not go down, you just hear a click. It has never failed to go up, just down. When it was under warranty I took it in for this and the dealer replaced the window motor but I was never convinced it was the problem. Now it has been about 1 year and it has started again, sometimes it will work, sometimes it wont. I don't know if its just a coincidence or just my imagination but the problem always seems to be in the afternoon when its hot out and not in the morning when its cool, I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not. Anyone experienced this problem or have any suggestions. Thanks for any help.

It's the sun and the heat that builds inside, at least mine was. I proved it by reversing the car then the problem would switch sides. I also had the same issue with the '04 Cobra. Once it cooled of it was fine.

It seems the contacts of the switch are vunerable to extreme heat and lose their shape. Then restore to their designed position once the temperature come down.
