Poisoned Pony's Tangerine Dream

well, as many of guys know from the last build thread I had on here, I sold my '96 Cobra back in April

I took what I made from the sale, bought this modded '90 LX and banked the rest for house improvements

After the purchase, I discovered the LX had some cancer issues in the hatch and cowl area's. So I offloaded it and picked up an F150

Now, being out of the Mustang game sucked and I wanted back in. I found a guy who totaled his work truck and wanted to trade for an F150. So I got this ex 4-banger notch in trade for my F150.

Now, my break from Modular motors was starting to suck. So I sold the notch and picked up this wonder SN95 GT.

This one is gonna stay for awhile lol. '96 GT, 1 of 829 in Bright Tangerine paint, 1 of 132 with Black cloth and a manual. Stock except '99 Cobra rims and Flowmaster mufflers.

Nice I use to see one like it on my way to work, but I haven't seen him in awhile. That color is awesome.

This! I also loved the old SN95 cloth interior. The materials they chose for the seats was really nice and tough.

Thanks all! The Bright Tangerine paint is definitely interesting a d the major selling point for me on buying this car. More on why I bought a NPI car in a minute.....

I'm the exact opposite lol. I miss my leather. The cloth is torn on the driver seat and the foam is shredding away each time I slide in. Near future mod: a set of Corbeaus and a factory leather back seat. I miss the A4's I had in my built 2000 GT and my son is riding along with me more nowadays now that his forward facing car seat fits in the stang. Leather is more easier to clean than cloth

Now, why did I buy a NPI stang? Well, being a Ford tech by trade, I get plenty of seat time in the latest Ford hardware from Fiestas to F650's. that includes the little marvel us Mustang folks love, the new Coyote equipped GT. I love my SN95's but I love this motor. So I'm jumping in the Coyote swap bandwagon. Over the next year or so, the car will be prepped for this awesome motor all while I'm keeping an eye open in local wrecking yards and Craigslist for new heart. I refuse to pay the insane price that Ford wants for this engine. The plan? When all is said and done, magazine quality built with my 2 hands, except for the respraying of the factory color, because I suck at that.

Next on the mod list was a new catback to replace the rusted POS on there til I saw the leaky axle seal while lowering the car. So needless to say, a rear end build is next, featuring 3.73 gears, a quality diff and stronger axles

Haha I hear ya. If it's kept up, I like that cloth style, but leather is def easier to clean. I have the 03 Termi seats in my 03 GT now. I'm also planning a coyote build! Hopefully you can leave me a good how-to to follow!

I love the color that color. Keep us posted on the coyote swap when you do it. I wish I was mechanically inclined to do some work on my stock daily driver 97 gt

this swap part alone help me decide on doing this swap. And it inspired the purchase of this GT. At first I wasn't keen on the Coyote swap because of the issues with the accessories. Now that I can retain all of them, I'm happy

Good luck, I have heard many people have had issues with 5.0 swaps in sn95s. Hopefully you don't have the drivability issues others have had. I'd love to do a coyote swap but can't justify the cost because I'd have to pay someone to do it. Please keep us informed and good luck

Nice find! Love the color. If I've seen only one here, tops. And it was in pretty bad shape
