No horsepower

I have a 2000 V6, has off brand cai and dual exhaust. I can mash the gas and it doesn't have any get up,, it does have exhaust leak,, but wouldn't think that would make it seem so sluggish.. Any suggestions??

How much are you willing to spend to make it faster is the question.

I have an 04 3.8l with cai and full exhaust. I haven't bothered with doing anything to mine as its my dd and I finally bought a mach 1 so I no longer need my v6 to be quicker but from what ive heard from most people gears is a good start on a v6. otherwise forced induction is really the only other thing that will really be worth the money imo

Thanks gears is on the list!! ,, the car just feels sluggish in general,, like something is going bad. Don't know if a sensor is bad or something else.

It's a automatic,, but pulls strong when you manually shift it,, but in normal drive it feels like the a/c is on going up hill on a flat surface..lol.

you need a tune up! plugs, wires, oil, clean air filter, fuel treatment and inspect all lines and belts. I would also look into a radiator and trans flush.

It's a ragged out automatic V6, what more do you want?

Service the thing would be a HUGE start to making it feel better....

How? It's got 160,000 miles on the car and you do nothing to maintain it.......

Sorry if the truth hurt.

Well when you say things like "latley" it makes it sound like you have had the car. My advice, do the proper service on the car and then progress from that point.

If you are going to spend that kind of money trying to give a v6 around 275 hp, sell the car and take the money you were gonna spend on a supercharger, and bolt ons, and put it towards a v8 Mustang
