"New" 2004 mustangs still on the lot

Went to my local Ford dealer today and noticed that they still have four 2004 mustangs on the lot right next to the 06-07s. They were in the new car section and still had the factory window stickers on them.

Hard to believe that over 2 years since the last one was made at Dearborn, they are still on the lots unsold.

Anybody else recently seen "new" 04s at dealerships?

Check out ebay motors some time. There are quite a few there, including Saleens, and Rouschs.

These prices are NUTZ for a three year old car. I don't care if they are a convertible or not. No wonder they haven't sold. Amazing. Imagine the storage fees that this dealer is paying for these brand new turkeys sitting on their lot...

why would you buy a new 04 when you can have a new 05? those stale cars are never going to sell! maybe if they were terminators.

yeah my dealer has a BUNCH of Saleens ans Roush's sitting around...still priced 40-55k. I am tempted to ask what they are REALLY asking, but I am sure they would say something stupid like "3k under sticker" haha yeah right, those are 3 year old cars.

Why wouldn't they just price these 04's at cost to get rid of them and make space on the lot. What makes this dealer think anyone would pay 24k for a 3 year old new car that would blue book for about 17k used ? This world has gone crazy.

Maybe they think that since people will pay $20k over MSRP for an 07 GT500 they would pay sticker for an 04

Those prices are ridiculous because I bought my 04 GT in Nov of 2003 and paid 25000 for it.

Those are most likely sticker prices, not what you can buy them for.
