My new STANG!

My new STANG!
I was "planning" on getting a 2011 Mustang GT next summer, but I don't want to pay the prices on the new ones and I came across this treasure and it was too good to pass up!
This was an older lady's "garage queen". They absolutely adored this vehicle! Upgraded to performance tires, high quality scratch resistant window tint, synthetic oil, always under a car cover, upgraded headlights, fog lamps, K&N air filter, exhaust and tips, yada, yada, yada!
2004 Mustang GT
5 speed manual
Competition Orange
Stripe package
MACH 1000 audio system
6,600 miles!!!
Needless to say, I'm lovin' this baby! My first mod myself will definately be the sequential tail lights!

Thanks for all the comments. I still can't believe I found this! I paid nada "book" for it, and to me it was worth every penny. It's never seen snow/rain, always under a cover in the garage (or so I was told, but no reason to doubt it either).
Can't wait to get my sequentials and will probably get some polished dash bezel rings around the gauges. I also saw a silver gauge bezel on american muscle that matches the center stack surround so I may go with that too. I 'm looking for some white face indeglo gauges, but not sure yet. Under the hood I'm not doing much, will probably take out the k & n filter and go with a cold air intake.
I found the car on autotrader Wednesday morning when I got home from work, called that evening on it and was going to go see it on Friday. Thursday morning I woke up thinking "whoever sees this car first is going to buy it". So, I called up the owner again and asked if we (my wife and I) could come see it Thursday evening when he get home from work. It's about a 90 mile drive up, so we got there about 630pm Thursday night. It wouldn't start (been sitting in their garage awhile and had not been driven). Pushed it out and they jumped it. Drove it and it did not dissapoint either! Nice deep throat growling exhaust...not too loud, and not too suttle either! My wife was also pretty amazed by it too. She's not too thrilled about the orange, but the overall condition was just mind-boggling! We talked price, took about 30 secs to agree and shook hands! They told me that I was the first call they had, then Thursday during hte day they got a few more calls and two differnt people coming to look at it on Friday if it was still available......lucky me I got there first!
Friday afternoon we drove up to pick it up, the owner had it sitting in the driveway, all washed up and ready to go. He then preseeds to tell me it would not start again that morning, then hands me a receipt from batteries plus and tells me that he had just put a new battery in it for me! My wife and I thought that was really nice of them. I'm so glad to have this car.
On Thursday, I traded in my 2007 Acura TL for a 2006 Jeep Liberty Limited and got a nice wad of cash back to put down on the Mustang. So I ended up trading one car for two basically. I got a really good deal on the Jeep as a wholesaler was looking to unload some cars and a dealer who was wanting to move it. Got that about 4k under book value. So, my TL for a Jeep and a Mustang wasn't a bad trade at all!
I really really really wanted to get a 2011 next year.......I have been toting that idea for well over a year now for when my wife finishes her Master's degree and starts teaching (hopefully) next fall. But I finally thought to myself that it will be around $38k for a new one (the one I would want/build anyway) and I just don't want that much debt and a payment like that. Then I started looking for used Stangs and viola, here is mine. I couldn't be happier with this beast. It's exactly the Mustang I would want. Has the power, the looks, and audio system, everything I would want. Plus, i just love the competition orange exterior!
I will get more pics up hopefully this week.

Yep, they are. The previous owner had them moved out 3" so that the exhaust did not fog or stain the paint on the rear bumper. I think they're out more than 3". I plan on having them moved back a bit, I've already scrapped my leg twice on them when walking behind it. But until then, I'll find a way to "live" with it. lol
