My "new" 1998 GT Vert
So I sold my '08 Bullitt about 6 months ago because I wanted to get rid of the car payment and pay down some debts. I've been making major progress so I decided to splurge and pick up this '98 GT Vert for $2000. It's in amazing condition for being 17 years old and only has 111K on it.
5 speed manual with adjustable Steeda clutch quadrant & cable, Flowmaster 40 exhaust, K&N CAI, SVT wheels, 3.27 gears. It drives and sounds great. I can't believe how nice it is for what I paid. I love the feel of the clutch. It's very heavy, but the way it engages is so smooth. Very easy to rev match. It actually feels better than my three previous S197 GT's. I don't have a ton of experience with the SN95's so I was expecting it to be a lot slower than it is. My Bullitt was obviously faster, but with the 3.27's this thing can move. It feels like it has more than 225 HP. Definitely more than I'll ever need and for $2000, I'm definitely satisfied.
I will take some better pictures later. I'm not going to put a lot of money into mods since the car was so cheap. I love how it looks already with the SVT wheels. I did order a few cosmetic mods (Bullitt pedals, Mach 1 aluminum shift ****, 14" antenna, and black "Mustang GT" vinyl inserts for the rear bumper) but that's it. Also absolutely loving the convertible out here in San Diego. I don't think I'll ever buy another Mustang coupe again.
