My 98 Cobra Convertible

When I found out we were being transferred from Florida to Alaska, and would be in base housing with no garage, I sadly sold my 2007 Mustang GT Premium Convertible to my next door neighbor. I could not stand the thought of it setting out in the ice and the snow, and the roads are so bad on Kodiak Island that I would not have been able to drive it much either. Well, after being here for a year and a half, not having a Mustang was really getting to me, so I began an internet search in earnest. I found a 98 Cobra Convertible with a 1.7L Kenne Bell supercharger already installed on it, and fell in love, and knew I could go see it when I visited my brother in Calfornia. Well, I bought it, and although I am back in cold Alaska, my Cobra is warm in my brother's stable in California. I am now spending my time planning mods, and with any luck, we will transfer back to the lower 48 this summer, so I can drive it everyday. Just thought I would share some pics, enjoy.

I don't think you have any idea of the jealousy you have caused me.

Beautiful car. The Bright Atlantic Blue is just such a stunning color.

Any idea on what mods you want to do on it? I definitely would not mind talking you into parts I can't afford to do on my lowly 94 GT.

Congrats!

That car is Beautiful! That is one of my favorite Mustang colors, and a rag top to boot! Thanks for the pics.

It certainly has a nice sound to it, but the instant torque is amazing!

Thanks, sorry about the envy thing, ha, ha. I have a whole page of mods I planning on doing, from big to small. The biggest things I plan on doing are adding a JLT CAI to get rid of the stock intake tube, and add a Bassani X-pipe to replace the stock H-Pipe. I might also add Bassani Mid-Length Headers, or American Racing Headers LT Headers to go along with the Bassani catback it has now. I also plan on adding an Aluminum driveshaft, Gears--probably 3:73 or 4:10's, and of course a good dyno tune. Most of the other mods I have planned are small stuff like Sequential Taillights, Tinted Windows, Hood struts, Aluminum Pedals, and an MGW Shifter. I plan on keeping a stock exterior appearance though, but I am always open to suggestions...

Nice ride! It's "almost" funny to see Alaska plates on a Mustang.
