must have parts.
Well hello again, looking at my mustang today and I just want more from her. A mostly stock mustang is a blank sheet of paper that u can do what ever u want. To date all she has is
373 gears
Off road H pipe
Bbk cold air intake
Sct chip
Don't get me wrong with the 5.0 and what I have done I can get it up and moving but I just don't think she is where she could be. A big down side is she is an auto
but it does mean less spin. So if u had this car what are a few must have upgrades u would get
373 gears
Off road H pipe
Bbk cold air intake
Sct chip

410 gears, full exhaust (headers mid-pipe, catbacks) staggered wheel set-up, h&r super sports, sub-frame connectors, front anti-roll bar, rear sway bar, new intake manifold, fuel injectors, cams, the list goes on and on. Plus theres always goin boost!

Good point. I would be happy running mid to low 9s really. Its a DD car so not really looking for a race car. I would be happy to keep up with a mach1. Idk what hp they are at but I would be happy with that speed. like the 99 body style mach1.

Well you could go with the basic bolt ons, cai, throttle body, plenum, free up ur exhaust with a mid-pipe (i like H pipes personally) and quality catbacks. Then add a tuner from sct and you should be keepin up with a mach 1. All that can be had for about 2k probably. How much hp are you running now? Becuz the "new edge" mach 1's i think are rated at 280 from the factory. Someone plz correct me if im wrong

Mach 1s are 305 hp and 320 ft*lbs. In order to run mid-low 9s you would need a lot and your car would not be very much a dd anymore. I think realistically shooting for low 12s would be your best bet and the easiest way would be boost and a forged bottom ened. If you don't want to boost it then you could get a stroker kit, i'd say a 347 kit with a good set of heads will get you very close to that goal

Yea 9s are pretty far off from any Mach 1 with basic bolt ons. Your problem is the 5.0 wasnt a fairly high horsepower stock motor. It can definitely be made quick and there's tons of parts for it. But remember if your wanting a track queen you have to build up your suspension as well. Its easy to get 350-400 HP but not as easy to put it on the ground. You could get a lightly used blower and run a safe tune. That would put you where you want to be. But for 2000 you'd have to install it yourself. Correct me if I'm wrong guys
PS - you'd probably run a 14 right now. Going from that to a 9 is ridiculous fast. Another thing you would probably need to upgrade is the clutch

Oh that definitely makes a big difference. If you ran a 10.3 then mid 9s shouldn't be too hard. I'd still focus on suspension bit I'd go the blower route. Google and YouTube 1/8 mile runs on n/a and f/i cars and see what You like better. Bolt ons are always good to have but take a bit longer and cost more money in the long run. But with a blower you still should build up the bottom end to be safe if you want to run a decent amount of boost.

Yep yep. Y I am asking, I ran into a bit of money, I'm looking to put money into my mustang or buy a new one. Kinda at a cross road, not sure what path to take. I was looking at the 03 04 svts. But with a few more grand I could get a 2011 gt. :/ witch both are a hella lot faster and are all around better than my 94.

I would definitely go with the termi! Those things are wolfs in sheeps clothing. Yea they can destroy most cars straight from the factory. But do a couple bolt-ons, swap out the pulley, stiffen up the chassis and do some suspension work and your in the 600-700 range and youll be puttin each horse into the ground. Oh, maybe upgrade to a KB blower but thts not alwayd necessary.
