Kyle's '99 GT

After the loss on my beloved '03 Crown Vic (which still makes me sad), three months later this came along. It's a '99 GT, electric green, and previously a gentleman's mildly modded weekend driver. No track time spent despite the mods, and the best part, only 64,000 miles.

There is a lot to list which I'll post after placing everything in order, but there is a lot to it. It drives very smooth, and is very solid, no rattles, leaks, and hopefully nothing else (knock on wood)

Thanks folks. and I do agree with you Dakota. It seems that when the wing was taken off to be painted, it was put back on further up. Providing it isn't too much hassle, I'll have it moved back.

Also (and not to get too off subject), is that a lion head rabbit? as your avatar picture?

Haha yeah it is a dwarf lion head. Not my bunny thou, it's my friends but I go over there just to see the bunny haha.

Have you thought about tinting that third break light since its fading away?

ahh it's adorable. I've got four, not lion heads though. All of them are different and hilarious.

With that brake light I'll either do a direct replacement or the tinting providing it isn't that difficult.

I've never tinted my light but I did have tail light and head light covers that have the tint look but I look them off because I lost one the tail light ones and I finally decided the car looked better without covers.

I'm sure you could either find a shop to tint it or you could try it yourself.

a friend with a fully built Eagle Talon tinted his head and taillights with Night Shades, a do-it-yourself kit. he did layers for it for blend them nicely with the car but he also has HID's for both lights and they shine right through.

With my headlight covers on you could hardly see anything. But I got used to it and still drove with them for about 4 months.

The
Photo is with one on and one not to compare

that's actually the correct position for the spoiler on the 99's, until they went to a different style spoiler in 03 I believe, it was further forward. here's another 99

I think it would look better without the spoiler. Or a cobra 03/04 cobra spoiler!

Thanks folks. It seems like the spoiler was moved back at some point then moved forward. I just washed the car and took a better look and you can see the shape of the spoiler on the trunk lid where it was moved back, and not to mention, there's rubber plugs right behind it.

The Cobra spoiler wouldn't be bad, but I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Roush Mustang of this era. More importantly there are a few age things to take of, as well as a job to pay for it :P

It was burning gas pretty well on the 93 octane setting since the tuner only has canned SCT tunes and nothing custom, and the SCT 87 tune is for a nitrous setup...why, I have no idea.

With confirmation from Bama tuning at American Muscle, I set it back to "stock" to run on 87 for now until I can pay for the tunes for life from them. It seems to actually run smoother on the 87 setting.

And man...does this baby handle. It's been raining the past few days but the suspension with the Nitto NT555 are just insane. I was in a big empty lot and tried to kick the rear around to get a feel for it and it wouldn't have it. It threw me through the curve with reckless authority. In a good way of course
