Today was so awesome, kinda. first off my neighbor bought the 2000 mustang GT eletric green 5 spd i was so close to buying. But the main thing today was that i was driving to get gas in my F150 cruising at like 60 ( on a 2 lane road) when i check my rear view and see this 04 mineral grey cobra vert!!!!! i about wrecked looking at it so i slow down to like 45 praying he'll pass me, well he does and HOLY shiite moslem that super charger and exhaust aounded so sweet holy cow! i just cant seem to get over it. BTW- i've never been that close to a cobra before let alone hear one at like 4k RPM's.
Then coming back i got to check out the competition for when i get my mustang and the list follows

Are you getting a mustang soon? Your lucky, I've yet too hear a cobra like that. I did hear one a couple years ago, but it was driving at like 20mph!

is the s/c on the cobra louder than the GT500's?

 

Sorry to rub things in, but a buddy of mine has a 03 cobra and we work on it together from time to time. We also work together so I get to hear it everyday. We were running down the street to work one day and he passes me in 3rd gear at about 5k RPMs. Also, he has a borla catback and magnaflow catted H. Sounds AMAZING!!!

EDIT: In a few weeks we'll working on another guy's black 03 10th aniversery cobra. And I'll be buying a cobra within the next few months. WooT!

i dont have a blower for my cobra. still like how the exhaust screams at 7200! sounds like a nascar. and when i want to hear a KB i just goto google and watch this video a couple times.

What I did. Maybe right for you also. Look around dealerships. One's that have a lot of Stangs, or ones with them hidden in backrows. Buy the dirt cheapest one you can negoiate on. Enjoy it, test it, max it, beat it, have fun with it. Wait 6 months, then your ready to get the ONE you really want. Why 6 mos.?? 1. Dealer doesnt get charge back from bank on financing, and 2, your credit rating will bounce back up, after your purchase helps it crash. It's really the best of both worlds. You know you want one. Soooo, while driving the bare-bones edition, you will have a real pallet to play with, to help in deciding what you really want to do. And it immediately gets you into the In-Crowd, the S-197 brotherhood.

 

A buddy of mine has got one with LTs, (cant remember what kind), and a Bassani X-pipe, sounds mean from the outside, even better from the inside... think of a 747 taking off. Those things are unreal, I want one so bad...
