I Hate Ford Racing!

So I ordered a set of FR Mach 1 wheels the day after Christmas as a late present to myself.

I got them a couple of days later and 2 of the 4 had chips in the finish. The damage looks like it was caused when they were made since there were no marks other then the chips on the wheels and the boxes weren't damaged at all.

So I send the 2 wheels back for replacements. The replacements come today and of course, 1 of the 2 has the same type of chip on it.

So now I have to send this one back and pray that this cycle doesn't continue and my next replacement is damage free. I figure 50% have been damaged so far so I have about a 50 -50 shot that the next replacement isn't going to be chipped.

Couldn't they do a little better job QA these things? The only good thing is that it's winter and I'm waiting until the spring to put these on so I'm not in any hurry to get them.

I also feel bad for the vendor since it's not really their fault but they are paying for all of the additional shipping and the price of the wheels went up a bit since I ordered them so they are losing money there to.

I thought it was strange as well.

It's possible that I got one of the rims I returned as a replacement. The vendor shipped one from the same warehouse I got the first batch from and one from a seperate warehouse. The rep said he didn't think that happened but the one I got from the new warehouse was the good one.

The good thing is that they will be shipping the new replacment from the second warehouse so there's no way I could get the same rim shipped back.

Its a good job you arent in a hurry. Sounds like your one of the customers that has a 'comedy of errors'.
Things will work out fine in the end.

Success!

Got my new rim today. It sat at my desk unopened for about an hour since I was actually affraid to open it in case it was messed up again. It was perfect.

So now I'm good to go. Once the spring gets here, I can get all my parts on and have my girl looking good.

I was supprised that there aren't many FRPP dealers around. I could have saved shipping on my "Stingers" if there was a local dealers but there wasn't any in the Pittsburgh area, or the Western part of Pennsylvania

Glad to hear they all worked out. Just so you know I had a real hard time trying to install my front springs and have given up. The rears were easy and as they are done that should save me some money on the install for the fronts and my mid pipe. Could you take before and after pics please?

Good thing I'm having my mechanic father in law do all the installs for me. The down side is I have to work around his schedule but the up side is he does it for free and I get to learn as we go. Once the spring gets here we have a date to do the springs, wheels and pulleys.

I have plenty of before pics and I'll take plenty of after pics once things start getting done.
