hi iam new to the fourm. i have an 04 mustang 40th standard. i would like to take the govener off. does anyone know how to do this? o yea, its a v6 3.8

Yea its all electronic so you would need to buy a programmer to do it.

 

ok has anyone ever done it befor, and will it really help. i want to do this befor i start modding my car. (which i wont be doing for a few weeks or so. because the car is so restricted i want to do this. and thanks, i will look up thoes programes.

 

it's easy as pie plug the programer up to the diagnostic port turn the swith on and push the yes buttons

 

Bingo. You can put a decent generic tune on your car just by saying yes and no.

 

Look at the diablosport. They make nice programmers and they wont break the bank either.
