How much time and Money involved in an engine swap?

Hi guys, i have a friend with a 97' GT (with an auto trans) with a blown motor. He intends to swap in a 96-98 Cobra or 03-04 Mach 1 Motor into it. How much is involved in such a swap? what needs to be replaced and so on? anyone here do a radical engine swap such as this? If is isn't to expensive i may consider doing the same with my 97' too.

first off he'll need the motor the wiring harness the ecm the cooling system and the A/C system and some of the parts are mach 1 or cobra only like some of the bolts so a donor car is a must check out the new issue of 5.0 mustang magazine they have a special about engine swaps 04 mach 1 into fox body 97 cobra into 98 gt you might get some ideas from there

I wonder how much i can get for my GT, and what a 96-98 Cobra will run me. My GT is flawless with 80k on it. It's fully optioned with a Borla cat-back and a UPR cold air kit. BUT its an auto, and its a color not all people will like (Purple)
