I can't see anyplace that my Cobra engine is still attached, but it will not come out. I end up lifting the whole car after a few pumps on the hoist. Is there some special way that I need to break the engine away from the transmission? What else am I missing?

All bolts have been removed from the transmission bellhousing to the engine and all exhaust bolts have been removed. All wire is disconnected, engine mount bolts removed....

Did you completely remove the tranny? Also probably will have to remove all exhaust maybe including headers. The 4v's are wide.
