3.90? Where'd you get those at? And how's the mileage on the highway because I have a 40 mile round trip commute to work majority of which is highway miles.

I bought them online. They were motive brand. 260 with bearing delivered to my door. I can give you the email of the supplier. In my new edge gt with a t45 tranny and 3.90 gears I rev at 2200 at 70 mph. I get about 26 mpg highway with a canned sct 91 octane tune.

An auto is usually 4.10s simply because no manual shifting. Go with 4.10s and fall in love with your car all over again

Wouldn't the 4.10's bring my mileage down tho? Gas is gettin more expensive down here and I fill up every 4-5 days

Mod motors are surprisingly efficient in the upper revs. With my 3.90s my mileage increased in the city and stayed roughly same on highway however it has more pep now. Instead of 5th being a turd it's a bit more responsive.

I ran 4.10's in a 2000 automatic GT and loved it. You'll have to have a chip with a tune to correct teh speedo, so thats an added expense. Its worth it though, your car will be totally different. 3.73's arent that noticeable in a auto as teh 4.10's are, but will give slightly better fuel mileage over the 4.10's.

Eh the gas doesn't matter to me, I didnt get it for it's fuel economy. Just don't want too drastic of a drop. But yea I drove a friends with 4.10's (an 07 gt) auto and his only other mods were flowmasters and a k&n cai. That thing pulled like a mother!

Any good words about different chips for adjusting the speedo and power? I have a '02 GT, BBK cold air, 85mm plenum, flowmaster 40's, and 3.55 gears. My speedo is off by about a tenth (at 100 it's reading 90) and I'd like to get it fixed but I don't know if it's worth the money.

Like Leo said, go to AM. Get a SCT tuner from them and they will send it to you with a custom tune for your car and mods. Plus they give free update tunes for life, great for when you get a new upgrade.
Well worth the money.

I had 4:10s in my '02, went with 3:73s in my '03. 4:10s pulled harder but I'm glad I went with 3:73s since I'm planning on supercharging it later this year!

I am in the same boat. I just put 3:73 and an sct chip in. Along with a bbk cold air. My seedo is off about 20 mph. U can fix it if u want. If u want to sell it I would get it fixed if not y worry about. I ride around with mine reading about 90mph. Lol BUT I did get pulled over for doing 66 in a 55. I did not get a ticket but it might be worth fixin lol.

In almost every edition of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords that I get, there are several full-page ads for the SCT chips. Did you notice a considerable difference in power/performance?

You know. When I put it in and took it down the road I was mad as hell. Coz I didn't really feel any power gain. But after a week of keepin it on 3 witch is the race tune, I put it on 4 (stock tune) and it was sooo slowww. Lol. And i have an auto so I felt the hard shifts right away and the passing kick on as soon as I put it to the floor. There is a power gain and u control more. I would buy one again for if I had another auto.

That's awesome. I might end up getting one with my next paycheck. Lol. But will the SCT chip actually adjust the speedo with the tune, or would I still have to get the speedo kit from am?

I didnt get the chip but rather i got the sct sf3 flash tuner. I put the 87 performance tune and i gotta say this thing is definitely awake now! I have an auto and i can feel each chirp of the tires as i go through all the gears. Cant wait to use 93 race tune on the track!
