Ford Racing Bullitt 5400-A Suspension Package any good?
I am looking at some 99-04 Mustang GTs for sale. I was wondering if the Ford Racing Bullitt 5400-A Suspension Package is any good? I understand it comes with Tokico / Ford Racing shocks / struts, front and rear sway bars and springs. Are the sway bars and springs made in USA? Who makes them? I was wondering how this kit will ride. Car will be mostly daily driver with some light, beginner open tracking. I want to reduce body lean in corners. Do I need camber bolts / panhard bar? How about subframe connectors? Are there any subframe connectors that are bolted on not welded? Thanks, Ger. Oh yeah, how does this kit compare to Eibach Pro setup?

Wow, that is a lot of questions.
As for your initial question; Yes, the car handles better with the Bullitt package on it. Just the springs alone will make an enormous difference on the car. The Tokicos are alright, and will definitely help with the bumps since those springs have a much, much higher spring rate than the stocks. I don't have a lot of experience with the sway bars, but I believe that they are heavier than stock front and back.
As for where they are made, I haven't the slightest clue. If you're worried about quality then go with a set of H&R's and Koni's and call it a day, but if you're looking for a bargain package then I would suggest being a little less picky with the origins of your parts.
As for the other parts on that list, it really depends on what you plan to do/how much money you want to put into your car/what you want it to feel like. If you plan to run springs that lower your car more than an inch, you need C/C plates to keep proper alignment. Panhard bars are excellent, but I believe you get the best out of your SRA when you do both Panhard bar and torque arm. If you just do the Panhard bar then you are leaving a lot of the bind back there. There are a lot of subframe connectors that are bolted and not welded. Many Mustangs (Mach, Bullitt, Cobra) came with bolt on subframe connectors, but it doesn't cost much to get them welded on (mine were 30 bucks at an exhaust shop) so I wouldn't make that a determining factor. The weld ons that I have on my car are awesome.
I would have suggested searching the board for suspension help before posting this. There is a lot of good info here, and a TON over at SN95forums which I encourage you to read before making any choices for parts. It's a lot cheaper to buy what you need first rather than continuing to replace parts that you bought that aren't quite up to what you want/need.
