Where were you when I wanted to know that?

By the way, those interior bits look awesome. I really need to repaint the HVAC panel, shifter bezel, and door puller-closered part. Maybe I should do something other than the black I was thinking about...

What else are you painting?

Just got back from the Hot August Nights, awesome show!
But Pete I am painting basically the whole interior i painted my driver side door panel black and the center console. Im basically taking every thing thats tan in my car and paintable and makjing it black, getting a new carpet, new seats and billet accessories. probably get the rear seats reupholstered

@99stang I'm not sure what to do with the engine, i dont even have a permit to drive yet so im just doing cosmetic stuff. I am probably going to get it tuned up and compression checked to see if I need a rebuild like edumspeed said. I think my first "mod" will be a CAI is that about right?

Oh yes I almost forgot my smoked headlights came today, but my friend says that since my header panel is broken the bumper will sag and I wont be able to aim them and stuff is this true?

If your bumper is sagging, it might be tough to aim them, but I'm not sure entirely.

Doing the cosmetics while you wait to be able to drive seems like a good idea, and CAI is a decent place to start on your car

keep us posted

The bumper is NOT sagging but he says that if i put in the lights with my broken header panel it WILL sag.
I'm confused and i test fitted one it looks good but it was the one that was broken so its missing some some stuff i was supposed to transfer.

I know how that feels. My header panel is busted so bad that it doesn't have any of the pieces that hold the lights in place. It makes it very hard to aim my lights, but they are so dim that they could be aimed directly into peoples eyes, and be less intrusive than the HIDs on most cars....

the dumbest sh** i ever did

Today my battery is dead so I ask my step father if he can jump it. He's like "well take that extra battery and try to jump it with that". So I'm hooking up these cables and I'm like positive is red negative is black. the battery is sitting down on the ground so i walk around it but when i walk around it to connect the cables i didn't switch the hands i was holding the cables with. Long story short i reversed the cables and i don't know what I've actually done to the car. it wont start but the locks and my security light on my cd deck still light up but I'm afraid i fried the starter, I didn't see any smoke from anywhere but the battery cables which began to melt.

I think Fremont is closer to the midpoint between the three of us.

When do you get your license?

Thanks I'm still working on the interior as I type.

btw If I want to get my car painted another color will i have to completely take the engine out and doors etc off? If so i might just repaint it laser red.

Bradley, If you PM one of the Admin (their names will be red) You can get your screename changed without having to use a new one. Then you can still keep track of your old posts and stuff.

PM Scothew and ask him to fix it

they would look alright. the 05 style is a bit different and you MIGHT need spacers. I don't recall how big though...
