95 gt exhaust

I have a stock gt with slp cat back but it doesn't even sound as good as stock! Can I delete or alter the cats for better sound until I get my intake and headers and x pipe?

As long as you dont have inspection or emmisions checks you can. It would probably worth it to wait unless you can weld or are in to jerry riggin it back up.
