I have a 2003 Cobra 10th anniversary edition convertible that I may trade in for an 05...
I was wondering what you guys thought it might be worth...
it has 5800 miles, and is torch red
perfect condition, only in rain about 3 times.
It has full documentation of evey penny ever spent, although it is stock except for a K&N filter and COBRA bumper letters.
Tell me what you think its worth, and if you may be interested or have more Q's, PM me or just reply
(PS: sorry moderators, but this car is not technically for sale, so please don't put it in the for sale section...I want to see what it may be worth to the enhusiasts...thanks)

I wouldn't sell it....because of production numbers, power, the list goes on.
Maybe other than a visual change, I wouldn't trade. Think of it this way......it'll be easy to get an 05 in a few years, but it'll be harder to get an 03 10th Anniversary Cobra in a few years.

I have gone over that in my head a thousand times, believe me...I just think I love to mod cars, and I can't keep letting that CPBRA sit like it is...I want to find someone who will keep it original and care for it like I wish I could if I had the money...It will be worth buttloads someday
(read my post about the GT in the 2005 section...you'll understand a little better)

I'd say easily 27k in the condition its in.
Check www.kbb.com for ballpark prices. Also check out svtperformance.com in their for sale sections. LOTS of cars get sold there so you can kinda get a feel of the market.

I personally wouldn't trade it but would sell it outright. With the new design you probably aren't going to get what you deserve for the Cobra... and this is a dealer telling you that
Honestly though I would not sell it at all. The new Mustangs sure are nice buts its not gonna be the same or nearly as nice as your Cobra.

I'd keep it as well... If you want to mod it, you still could without having to get non-ford made parts... just buy your mods from fordracing and you can get the performance you want and an extremely sexy car!

Yeah, I definately wouldnt trade the car in; you wont get nearly as much as its worth. I wouldnt be surprised to see in go for upwards of $30,000. its only two years old, has under 6k miles, and is number one of a very limited edition. considering that it went for about $40,000 new, i dont think you could expect more than a 25% depreciation.
It is a very nice car, and its a shame to sell it, but i can totally understand wanting a car that you are free to customize any way you like. unfortunately, you'll never have that freedom with the cobra if you want to keep its value. Good Luck... -Dan

well, guys its not for sale...we decided to keep it, but dad's getting a Davis Instruments CarChip E/X with Alarm...nifty little things
that way, I'll be under a constant eye to keep me out of trouble
I'm glad we're keeping the COBRA...Its one sweet car, and I honestly like it more than an 05

Except it doesn't sound like it was his decision...

At this point it would probably be an even trade, or he'd owe money for the GT.

Let's get something straight, is the car YOURS or your father's?
Considering you are 16 I'm suspecting its your father's vehicle since the insurance on you driving a Cobra would be astronomical.
