1996 ford mustang wont start 4.6 winter weather coolant sensor questions
Hello I have a 1996 ford mustang gt 4.6 sohc. Sn95!! I drive the car in winter, ad this problem just came up, I drove my car parked it for the night, and in the morning went to start it, the motor would just sit there and crank over and wouldn't fire, I have spark my fuel pump humms everything seems to be working, but if you press on the fuel pressure valve no fuel squirts out?? I tarped my car up, and put a heater underneath it, this is -35•c over night, the car fired up no problems at all, if it is warm out say -20•c the car will start no problems, I can't figure it out, looking all over online I'm Guna change the fuel filter yes, but hear is my main question. The coolant sensor???? Will that being so cold out make it malfunction and not work, then when it's warm it works?? Please help

I would check your antifreeze strength and see what temp your antifreeze is mixed at. If it's not a close enough to 50/50 it might be starting to freeze up or something. Otherwise I'm not sure what to tell you, my 04 has been starting only a little slow here and it's been in the negatives a lot lately. Never really heard of anyone having a coolant temp sensor prevent the car from starting...so idk good luck. Hopefully someone has some ideas for ya

gotta be filter or bad pump or maybe the regulator is sticking open. cts has nothing to do with fuel pressure. take out the fuel filter and put a fuel pressure gauge on the line there.
