1994 mustang GT axle question

i have been looking in a 1994 mustang Brochure and it says something about an optional axle ratio i found info on newer stangs but nothing as old as 1994 does anybody know what this optional axle was?? i know next to NOTHING about the mustang except its a fox platform i was a panther platform guy for years and when i found a 1994 loaded GT convert with only 90K miles well lets just say im going to get it tomorrow

im just wondering if this car has teh optional axle ratio or not it looks like it has all the others mach 420 radio speed control (so it has the group 2 option) it does not have CD just a tape radio
does anybody know where i might find a 1994 mustang CD radio?

thank you

On your door tag there should be a letter next to "ax" at the bottom with the following letters representing rear end gears . . .

M = 2.73
Z = 3.08 (T-5 option)
E = 3.27 (AODE option)

You should be able to tell the difference with initial acceleration.

sorry where was my head on gas use i mean this is how i think the engine has to "turn more to move the car the same amount with the LOW axle vs the HIGH axle is this right ??

also from what i have heard after 94 mustang drooped the V-8 engine is this true if so when did they bring back the V-8

V8 never left. 95 was last for pushrods. 96 up is over head cam.
