110 for a stock motor
110 for a stock motor
I have had mixed reviews. But putting 110 gas in my 94 pretty much stock motor bad idea?? I am going to the strip Friday and thinkin about runnin it. But I don't want to mess anything up. If anything I am hopein it will burn some of the junk out of my motor.
Waste of money, increasing the octane rating of fuel is accomplished mostly by slowing its burn rate which means adding high octane fuel to a low compresssion car ultimately hurts power.
Your engine is balanced around whatever octane rating it is designed to run on. Compression, rod/stroke ratios, chamber volumes, et al are selected to make the most power with the choosen fuel.
110 gas is race stuff so I doubt it comes with any sort of beneficial additive package (detergents and such) as mandated by federal law for premium road fuels (although they dont improve power for a car designed to run on 87, they do contain cleaning addtives in higher concentrations).
Much truth here.
