XM compatabilty with Shaker 1000
I have an XM roady receiver in my current car will this be compatable with the shaker 1000? will it be able to plug into an aux socket in the dash of the unit or will I have to use an fm modulator?
Thank you
Thank you
At this time, I do not believe there is a way to hard-connect outboard units to any of the Shaker systems. Unless someone has a wiring harness adaptor of some sort (which I do not think would work anyway), you'd have to go the FM modulator route.
Although the Shaker systems have an AUX button, it does not reference RCA jacks or any such connector; there aren't any on the rear of the Shaker units. These stereos are used across several product lines (just marketed as "Shaker" in the Mustang), and the AUX functionality has to do with a rear seat DVD Player available on some models like the Freestyle, etc.
If you do come up with a solution, post it - many folks would like to know about it. And welcome to the forums!
