What are these taps for?

Does anyone know what these taps are for? They are on the harness that connects onto the back of the stereo and are attached to the green wire and the gray with yellow stripe wire. Anyone know? I have an 05. Does it have anything to do with the aux input? The left picture shows the connector where the taps are.

Cheers

Look and see what the pin numbers are. The diagram I shows GY/YE on pin #2 Voltage in Run or Accessory. Pin #1 LG/VT is Voltage supplied at all times. It does not show a plain gray wire.
Hope this helps.

Yes, I bought the car new. These taps allow something to plug into them.

I must say that is strange. I have done a few stereo installes and Ford doesn't use taps that I have ever seen, its always a harness with wires. I can't explain it.
