Triple pillar gauge pod
Triple pillar gauge pod
Very excited! The Stang is over at the shop getting her triple pillar pod installed this morning. I got one of those package deals from Glowshift, with the pillar that goes in up on the lefthand side. I've got all my interior lighting done in violet, so this will add to the look a lot, as well as the functionality of the gauges themselves.
It's taking forever, because first I had to save for the gauge package and gather all the other little bits and pieces, then save for the install (I decided I'm just not up to doing this one myself)..... Then yesterday I took it in at the appt. time-9am... I got a call at 3, after not having my car all day, and the guy at the shop said the person in front of me's vehicle was giving them problems and taking forever, and because of this guys van, they hadn't even started on mine. Because of the inconvenience (and cuz I am a good customer and buy a lot of parts there) they are gonna give me a break on the install $$.... Which is cool with me
!
When I went to drop her off this morning I saw the van that caused all the delay in their lot, and we almost peed on ourselves laughing ... OMG I hope it's still there and I can get a photo. It's one of those old white (crappy paint job, spots all over it down to the metal) Astro vans, and somebody put huge white and chrome dub floaters on this thing... It is the funniest **** thing- total turd of a van on huge shiny floaters....I know those rims cost three times what that van is worth. I'm dying to know what they were trying to do to it yesterday....
Anyway, I can't wait to see my gauges- I was thinking of getting the pillar wrapped, but the black plastic matched my dash exactly- even down to the texture in the plastic, so I left it as is- and the gauges are white faces with the colored glow
I'll post pics when I get her back.

The night shots are under the car cover (too lazy to pull it off)

Looks good! I just made myself a 4 pod pillar pod. I had 2 2 pod SOS pillar pods, so I decided to combine them. I'm partial to blue so I have all Autometer Cobalt gauges total of 7! 4 on my new Pillar pod and 3 on my dash pod.
