Hey you W/B boys.....keep me in the loop on this, will ya? Also, if you put stripes on I'd love to see pics. I'm planning on silver....think it'd be a nice contrast. How about you....stripes? Thanks in advance!

My Mom has Owned Several Silver Blue Cars, and DARK Tint Looks Great on a Silver Blue Car. Light or Reflective/Siver Tint Doesn't Look so Hot in my Opinion. I'd go with 15% on Side Windows, and 5% on the Quarters, Rear, and Sunstrip which I would have Down to the Bottom of the Mirror Mount Point. Past the ANSI line, but It doesn't bother me there and it Keeps the Car nice and Cool in Summer.

Woody do you have some pics of the tint. How does the limo tint affect visibility at night on those rear side windows?

Besides.... the way I had my '98 set up was the legal limit here in Colorado.... the cops here will hand you a razor blade and make you cut pieces out of it if you're any darker. After I got pulled over and they checked the tint in my '88, he was on his way back for said slashing, but got a call for doughnuts.... he bolted accross the street (literally) and let me go.

Does anyone know what the legal, lower limit is on how dark you can tint the door windows in Texas? I know legally it used to be 35%, but the cops wouldn't give you a ticket unless it was under 20%. I know this 'cause I got a warning once w/ 20% on the doors, 5% on the back 3 windows (on ex. cab pick-up).
I heard it changed Sept. 2004, but not clear as to if the change was 25% lighter or darker??????

Near the bottom of the first page, there is a link to a list of all legal limits per state.
I have 35% all around, and I think it is awesome. It looks so much better than no tint. I agree, I think any color will look good with tint, as long as it is not that metallic reflective crap that is on sunglasses. Just got with a regular tint, and any color mustang will be sweet.

The tint is definately dark at night, no need for a dimmer on the mirrow. Everything shows up as dark shadows. I like it because you can't see inside and it keeps it cooler in the sun as well as protects better from UV.
