Shaker 1000 AUX button... What is it?
#1
I just picked up my GT a couple days ago. It's got the Shaker 1000 stereo in it. I noticed a button labeled AUX on the unit, but I can't find any real information about it. What does this control? Where are the AUX inputs?
I have a Personal Media Player that I would love to hook up to my sound system. I'm gonna miss watching movies in my car on long lunch breaks. Thanks for any informaton you guys have.

Get on the list now cuz their orders are getting back up to the end of the year already. It called something like the PIE FRD04-AUX 2004-2006 Auxiliary Adapter. But you should know you have to rip apart the dash to get behind the stereo(just FYI)

Yeah, I found that thread about the unit from P.I.E. Thanks.
To me, I'd just rather do without for now and eventually replace the headunit with a better one anyway, one with actual aux input.
I got the one with the Shaker 1000 in it just for the speakers and amps; I'm not super in love with the actual head unit.
So eventually I can see myself putting a in good head unit in its place. But I've only had the car for 48 hours, I don't think I'm ready yet
While we're on this subject, replacing the actual Shaker 1000 head unit isn't a problem, right? The amplifiers and speakers will work fine with any head unit?

I've read about problem with sound quality after switching head units. Something to do wiyth the amount of power going to the amps. Do a search and you should be able to find something.
