Seatbelts

Anyone know where I could get a set of seatbelt extenders. My 07's seatbelts are a pain in the **** to grab. I see that the newer Stangs have an extender and would like to get a set of those.

Thaks,

AL

I thought alls you had to do was go ask the dealership for one. I believe they are free. Not 100% sure.
I use a clamp on mine so it never returns to home posistion. When I take it off I lay it next to my seat. Easy on and off.

no the ones that are free are the ones that extend the locking mechanism for the seat belt for larger people that need more seatbelt then what the stock length is. i believe he is talking about moving the seatbelt closer to the driver. There was a member that was making some but after a while stopped making them for some reason i do not remember.

That's what I think I'm going to do unless I can find the extenders.

Yup, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Not only it is hard to reach, but it also rides tight on my neck.

May be helpful

Also the Extenders up top on the 08's Are Only Serviced with the Belts from FORD.

Al,

I know which extender you are talking about, off the b-pillar, as my '08 has them. However, it's in storage and I won't be by it again for another week or so, so I can't take any pics right now. If no one has the P/N by then, I'll post a pic......if it helps.

i think it is like KC said the 08 extender is a closed loop around the belt so in order to get them you would have to replace the whole belt for an '08 belt

It may be worth replacing it, I'm always pushing the seatbelt away from my neck and sometimes drive with one hand holding it...

If anyone has the part number or more details on how to get one, I would appreciate it.

here's a simple solution to keep the belt from rubbing your neck by changing the angle of the belt.

Ira,

I found similar comments on other boards this morning too, so I think you're probably right.
