has any one thought of putting low back style seats in or moddifying the stock ones? imho the 05 mustang seats look like they belong in a granny car the head rest are just plain ugly the rest of the intiror is nice the dash couldnt be more perfect but i think it would look soo much better with theese style seats in it theese are th seats in my 67

Lowback seats without a headrest are illegal in a car if high seats were required in the year the car was built. Which they are, since 1969 (1970 model year).

It's considered safety equipment, having to do with rear impacts and whiplash protection. Considered a head restraint. Of course most people with seats with an adjustable head rest never have it positioned correctly, but that is the law.

I think having airbags in the car, specifically having a big bulky steering wheel w/ airbag makes the car look like a granny car. I'm going to switch out my steering wheel with one from a '67 Mustang because it looks more retro and hope I don't get in a wreck and need the airbag.

If you want retro, try the 1970 seats. Highback and they looked good. This is the deluxe version:
