Recomendations for door lock knobs?
Recomendations for door lock *****?
I currently have the UPR stock style "brushed" door lock ***** and from day one I wasn't very happy with them because they stick up higher than the OEM *****. Then on top of that they tarnished quickly.
I've seen the MGW pieces and even though they are adjustable, since they have that large "head" on them, they can't be put down as low as OEM.
Are there any aftermarket door lock ***** out there that fit right and have the same shape as OEM? I would even settle for chrome or polished since my Hurst handle and A/C vent trim rings are also shiny.

I just bought the bullet style from this Ebay seller but he also has stock style pins. The bullet style I bought stick up higher than stock also but they look great and operate fine. These may be what you want.

Maybe I read your first post incorrectly but do you already have the pins like those in the ebay auction I referenced? They have the stock looking pins and from what I see they are similar height as stock were. Am I just misunderstanding what you are looking for?

Yes. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
I have the UPR (like in the eBay auction) stock style brushed pins.
As soon as I got them I emailed UPR to ask them about them not going down far enough and they couldn't have cared less. Last time I ever buy anything from UPR. I hate poor customer service.
I thought maybe I got a bad set, but I compared them to several others here on the board and all the UPR pins are like that.

I just got some new ones today that I wasnt sure if they would fit or if I would really likethem. They do fit but im not sure if its too trashy or not. It is some chrome looking skulls with red eyes. I will take some pics tonight for you. Not sure if I will keep them but they were only 8 bucks.
I had thought of that, but don't you think they'd get scratched up pretty easy? Especially going up and down all the time.
I'm pretty sure mine aren't perfectly centered in the hole so they don't touch at all.

Okay, sorry it took me so long to get some pics to you guys. Bad weather all week here, so I couldn't even get outside to snap a few pictures. I finally got it though
What I basically did was first remove the entire door lock assembly from inside the door, and then I used bondo over the hole in the **** holder. Once you sand it down and paint it, it looks like one solid piece. On the last pic you can probably notice a few dimples in the piece. That's because I did the whole thing the day before a car show, and haven't gotten around to perfecting it. Also, at some point I'll probably change the color from black. I was thinking of going with a navy blue, and painting the speaker rims and backpiece to the door handles the same color.

You could also order from Ford the stock ones and try them out, and have a back up in case.
