I just did the alteration like fake68 described (added 2" square tubing to raise my passenger seat). It worked out great and my wife is really pleased. She will now throw away the cushion she has been sitting on. I was concerned that 2" might be too high but it is just right for us. With the seat back most of the way, even I can sit in the seat and still have plenty of head room (I'm 5' 11"). My wife (5' 2") moves the seat forward, and as it does this it does incline and gives her much better view out over the dash. So, my thanks to fake68 for the great idea of how to raise the passenger seat without spending $600+.

easy but time consuming. couple of hours i just did it on my 2007 mustang convertible.i read on the forum how to do it and found it was nonsense!
this is what you do to makevthe passenger seat rhe same height as the driversremovevthecseat and unplug the electricals.
put seat upside down on a bench, you will see 4 riveitscholding the frame to the runners.
get ah small drill, around 4 or 5 mil, I am in europe hence metric sizes, even Americans can work that out! ok, drill down deeper than the first level of the runner, follow through with a big drill and the rivet should be destroyed, punch the remaining rivet out. the hard part is now done,there are 4 rivets on the front and 2 on the rear,remove them all in the same way. Now, they said on the forums to go for different sizes, ignore this, i found some small silent blocks, these are used for engime mounts on small engines, lawn mowers etc.but if not, get 2 ally or nylon blocks 50 long x 20 wide and 50 high on the rear and the same but 30 high on the front, basically 2 inch in rear and 1 1/2 in rear. resuls, perfect matched seat heights, and for the do gooders that whinge about safety, its no problem, the mounts are held by m6 bolts that are stronger that the floorpan anyway. easy peasy!!

I bought a power passenger side seat from an 08 and stuck it into my 07. My wife was only 4'10'', so she had to have a raised seat. I first was going to do the seat modification and add in the spacer plate, but after reading some information on the shearing of the bolts, went away from that idea and went to the power seat.

Here are a bunch of the seats that are available nationwide, via Hollander. First is the cloth type, and second is leather. Hope this helps some of you.

I never raised the seat but I learned how to drive looking through the top of the steering wheel and over the dash. Then I switched in a Corbeau seat and she sits a little taller, now I can see over the steering wheel.
