Question for those with IUP

I bought my car without the interior upgrade package. Although I wanted it, i found a car with the right deal, and couldn't pass it up. I researched retrofitting the IUP package, but after finding out how much the passenger airbag assembly was, i gave up.

Well, I found an assembly on ebay for $299.

Are the IUP dashes the same in all cars or did for change the pattern at one point in time? I thinking about buying the assembly, but don't want to do it if it's going to be a pain matching all the dash parts.

Here is a link to the ebay auction.

The original IUP package was "Bright" Aluminum. In 07 they started to offer a darker IUP package. The IUP panels tend to touch each other around the airbag on the passenger side and squeak.

Kevin Casey now sells the whole setup. I think the entire IUP silver dash is under $400. Check out "The Marketplace" section of this forum, under Ford OEM parts for all the information. At least going through him, you know you're getting the right parts, and he sometimes throws in extra goodies. He also has the charcoal weave dash, GT500 dash, and Bullitt dash.

Can you verify that the pictures within the ebay link are the OEM panels for the IUP package?

Thanks for the info. If I can get the whole setup for $400, I'd by it direct, so I know I'm getting the right items. I've sent Kevin a message, and hope to hear back from him.

Something seems off in your eBay add.

Here's my wife's Vert dash:

Those "lines" shown on the eBay add are a darker gray color to give the look of the surface texture. On the wife's there is no "lines" rather actual raised material that is all the same color.

Check out Kevin's thread on dash replacement options:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=466576

And on the Mycolor feature:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...hlight=mycolor

The rest of it can be found at Partscheap.com if I'm not mistaken, or on ebay (the IUP shift **** is easy to get for cheap for instance)

I have a 2008 and got the Charcoal Weave dash, which looks a bit like Carbon Fiber, however I don't think you'll find a matching pattern for it easy if you wanted to add more parts like it around your interior. That being said, I like it a lot more than the aluminum ribbed dash because it's a lot more subdued.

Good Luck!
