Wiring! Must a hole in the dash be cut to route wiring for the gauges?

Wait and see what SOS comes out with. I know Allan is coming out with a 3 gauge dash cluster and it might not require drilling.

 

i have the cdc pod. i was able to wire all my gauges without cutting any holes at all.

 

How did you route your wires?

I have the CDC too. All the wires go down the defrost vent.

 

Thanks for the info. Does this mean you have to cut a hole in the defrost ducting somewhere behind/beneath the dash to pass the wires through?

I pulled the instrument cluster , which isn't hard. With it out , you can see a small gap between the dash and the defrost vent. I pushed a wire coat hanger through the gap and attached my wires to it and pulled them back through ...

Thats the link to the instructions on Moss Motors website. Refer to step #3.

 

They tell you to go through the glove box , but I couldn't see the gap from that side ...
