For anyone who's put an amp in the trunk... How many feet of primary wire did you need? I plan on running through the firewall, and under the scuff plate to the trunk. I don't have the car yet, just getting everything ready.

So Far:
2 Kicker Solo Baric L7 12's
1 Soundstream Rubicon 1000
RCA's, LOC
Red Caliper Paint
Lighted Engine Start Button for cig lighter (functioning)
Extra light sockets to mod all three lamps for brakes
Glock Security System

Also, where did you guys ground to in the trunk? Any good existing mounts? (seatbelt mounts, etc.) I don't want to drill any holes.

What did you pay for you L7's. I was quoted 1K for 1 12" L7 and a 300/2 Kicker Comp Amp. Plus instalation. That is way too much for my tastes.

I honestly don't remember, but ebay is your friend. I think I paid $379 for the pair, brand new from Kicker, factory refurbished, never a single problem. If the box didn't say refurbished on it I would never have known they were. Also... still came w/ a warranty. I've had them in my Jeep for the last few months and they are some of the best I've ever heard, they will seriously hurt your ears, almost a little too much for me.

Don't actually remember. I think I just got the standard lenght that was recommended by the audio place. I think it was something like 16 feet, but I have cable to spare.

The best way to do this is to buy an Amp Install kit based on the amp you are going to use. You need to get the gage size wire for the amp.... Length is 16 to 17 feet typically.

If you buy a Rockford Fosgate kit and a Rockford Fosgate Amp you get a one year extended warranty on the amp for FREE. Just be sure to get the right kit. Best Buy sells both.

Already got the RCA's, remote, etc from my previous install. Just need new wire because I'm running black primary wire so it won't show in the engine compt. I think I'll just get 18' so I've got some to use as a ground. Thanks guys.
