Has anyone been able to upload their phonebook via bluetooth? I followed the instructions in the manual and it doesn't work. I tried it with my blackberry pearl and again today with my iphone 3G.

Are you talking about saving them for backgrounds? If so, I just burned about 18 .jpgs with normal names (letters and/or numbers only) and stored them in a folder named Pictures. Everyone of them came up with no issues.

I thought so, but I was going by memory- I could be wrong. I'd have to look at the manual again.

I haven't tried the BT connection.

Yep, I was talking about the backgrounds. Sounds like you got it done; maybe it was naming the folder "Pictures" is what I was thinking about earlier.

Killer66,
Have you tried this procedure from the Avic411 forum?

Thank vppreacher. I read a few iphone post on Avic411. Now I have to go test it. My 3G iphone can't be charged by the D3 so hopefully the phonebook will work.

Jeff, did you create a large dummy file on your disk along with the pictures? I think the disc has to be a minimum size. I make a quick 200meg dummy file on my Mac like this "mkfile 200m filename". I put all my pictures in a PICTURES folder and I put that and the dummy file on the CD to burn. Each picture is 500x240 pixels, short filenames of letters and numbers with jpg extension.

If you're still having trouble then PM me and maybe I can create an ISO from your pictures for you to burn.

Works fine with my Windows Mobile phone. Keep in mind it will only store 300 contacts.

Hey Stephen, no, I didn't know about making a dummy file. What do I need to do this? Just open a file and sit save, with nothing on it. Still can't figure out why it won't work. If its possible for me to email you the photos let me know. I'm going to try one more time this week sometime to save the pics to a disc and load in my headunit. If it doesn't work, I may take you up on your offer to help. Thanks for the assistance.
