i jsut installed mine. after reading everything on the subject here and on the pie forum i got mine to work 100% of the time. Guys just leave the 16 pin connector, the one with only 2 wires, unconnected and everything will be fine.

 

Then why did Ford connect those 2 wires?

 

why did ford connect the wires for the mycolor option buttons when i dont have it?

 

the 2 wires seem to control the radios dimmer function when u turn the headlights on. to me thats not a problem. to others it might be

 

Anyone have instructions for pulling the Shaker 500/1000 out of the dash? Thought I'd learn from others if possible rather than hacking around at my dash on my own.
