NEW SHAKER 500 PROBLEM?
If I understand you correctly,( kinda lost me on "play radio cd's and sat" ), you had the shaker on and it stopped making sound but was still on?
Mine has done this ever so often, stays on, display looks fine but no sound and turning ***** and hitting buttons has no effect what so ever. Clears up after you turn the car off and open the door to get the radio to shut off.
This is just one of the mysterious Features of our wonderful shaker stereo system.

Dang I haven't had this happen yet!
I have had a couple problems with CD playing stuff. Sometimes a CD track (store bought, not ripped or MP3) will end, and it will play about one second of the beginning of the next track, then quickly skips to the next one after that, then plays that track normally. Also it spits up an MP3 CD at random saying BAD DISC when I first switch to the disc. I load it back in once or twice and it plays ok after that. So far those things happen so infrequently that I won't be worth the can of worms opened by complaining about it to the dealer. Also it's not consistently reproducable.

I've had this happen twice now. Can't do anything with buttons but after a few minutes it clears itself and starts to work.

Happened once to me, just yesterday. I think it was because I commented that mine was working fine.

I've also had it happen twice in the past 4 months, except the display also went blank, with only the clock left in the display. Both times, as above, when I turned off the car, removed the key, opened the door, then restarted, the Shaker resumed normal operation....I think the dealer would just screw it up worse.....
I to have had this happen once. Display is on but no sound , any button or volume control had no effect . I turned the radio off and on and still no sound . After a minute or so the sound resumed. My car has been stored since December so I dont know if this will happen again. 06 built in november 05.
