I just finished installing my XM SkiFi 2 in my '05 convertible. I tried it on the dash first, but hated the way it spoiled the clean look. Browsing the net I foung the Belkin Tunedok, a unit that mounts an adjustable height pedestal for XM in a cup holder. I did a little custom work as even at the lowest setting it was a touch higher above the console than I wanted. Now it's perfect imho. Tied into the Shaker's antenna input rather than using the open air modulator, no drop outs/interference. The rear cupholder is still usable. Another plus is should I ever be foolish enough to leave my 'stang in a bad neighborhood, the whole works can be placed in the console storage area in two seconds flat (Yeah, you and I know XM is serialized and stealing one is pretty pointless, but I don't count on thieves staying up with technology)

Nice, Paul. You shouldn't have any trouble reading your display!

Now crank up those tunes...

Thanks, I really like your install too. Convenient and doesn't dominate the whole dash

is there a device sold by the company that will rebroadcast the satellite signal to the fm tuner in your car? I know some CD player systems work that way. That would be great. I would like a portable unit that does that so I can use one satellite reciever to play on both my radio in the car and at home on my non satellite radios.

The current Delphi units have FM modulation built right in. Mine has the optional antenna patch kit just 'cause I'm in an area with many strong radio stations and it cuts any interference to about zero.

Yeah there are adapters for the Delphi XM tuners (like the SkyFi 1 and 2 and Roady 1 and 2) to allow you to move them back and forth from the car to the home and hook them up. You can even convert the the Roady2 into a handheld portable.
