Cool My new Trunk lid mat

Just installed my trunk lid mat from Grand design mat. I love this thing. very easy to install. had to drill 3 holes and that was it I got the tungsten painted option.

Glad to see he started making the Ponies again. He stopped for a bit, I think due to Ford making threats to all the aftermarket companies. Still not on his site though...

what is the website, how much, and what location do you have to drill holes? How solid is the mounting, any chance you could get any rattling noise out of that or is it really secure?

It looks great!!

phil is a great guy, if you want it custom some how he will do it for you. I was the first according to him to want the interior color accent fake leather for the backing. This is how it came out. He had to do it twice for me to get it the way I wanted it. Great customer service.

Does anyone know of a company doing hood matts? I'd like to replace the stock hood matt with something a little more showy!

granddesignmat.com his name is Phil, very nice guy, talked to him personally .out of north carolina I think. 100.00 or 145.00 painted body color. the holes are drilled on the bottom center and 2 on the left just like the ones drilled for your trunk wire.the other 2 holes are pre existing on the right. since the holes are not exposed to the elements,it's no big deaL. just put electrical tape on the end of the drill bit about 1/4 incch up and it prevents bit from hitting top of trunk. instructions are excellent and tell you all of this..the 5 push plugs are plastic and are threaded ,\. the more you push them in, the more secure they are. No rattling whatsoever.. double sided tape would not work because the other side of it is particle board and it wouldn't hold good..trust me. this way is perfect!. The plugs are hidden unless you get the one like the red one posted. This thing shipped on thurs and got here on sat..Outstanding cust service..

Is Phil actually selling the mats with the Running Pony and the GT logos? I just got a call from him a few days ago and he said he was still wrestling with Ford and should be able to ship mats with the Ford logos sometime in December. Have you guys heard the same thing?

Is the "raised" option they offer on there site mean the pony will be molded into the mat as opposed to the cut out look that people have posted pics of?

I hope that makes sense.
