Question Multiple accessories, one 12v power source

How many accessories can you safely power with one 12v power source?

For example, I am powering my engine start button and satelite receiver from one 12v power source and I want to add a GPS unit. Can I just splice into the same wire that I ran to the fuse box or should I run a new wire?

I am running my AUX Adapter, Start Button and my Sirius Starmate from the same 12v source at the fuse box. However, I have a seperate inline fuse going to each item. I haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood).

If it bothers you, run them from a $5 relay. If that interests you, let me know and I'll diagram how to do it.
