Yup. Good eye! I didn't know anyone that could do a good clearcoat job for me so I hit up my local hardware store and got some really fine emory cloth. I actually sanded all the pods down including the bezel around the gauge cluster. Takes a lot of time but it completely dulls it down and makes it look brushed. Here's a couple more pics.

What did you clear coat them with?

Nice, that looks great. I think I'm going to try clearcoating them myself first (after I figure out what that means), and then if that fails, I can always sand it off and go for the sanding route like you did.

I really like the dull look, especially with the carbon aluminum applique.

Here is a few shots of my interior. The seats are custom. I wanted to have that old school "Mach1/69-70 Shelby" look, and the shop did a KICKA$$ job. The other pic is of my door panel, with the welting and the painted switch plates. Also have the PTP leather center console cover, and I have a UPR shifter bezel. That will be replaced with the new Anodized bezel from Silverhorse. And a SHR cupholder bezel will go in for shows. Things that aren't showing, are the new AVIC-D3, and my seatbelt wraps. Wanted a low-key interior that wasn't too overboard (hence why I went with the single-bar instead of blue inserts). I get lots of looks from people about the seats.

How is the welting held in place on the doors?

It has a flat part that just sticks in the opening in the door panel. It looks great and is cheap.

Thanks Nate. The seats only ran me $600 for all 4!! Great deal considering they had to cut out the top rib, sew in a rib of Katzkin Pacific Blue, and re-install back to as-new condition. Plus my seats have side airbags. Couldn't pass up a deal like that. Plus they were done in 1 day!!! Subtle but it stands out.

Thanks David. A friend did these "off the books" per say. He sent me several different designs, and that is the one I fell for!! Love the way they look. And not pictured, are the seatbelt wraps. Has the same concept car tribar logo, and my screen name from BadMustangsClub.com.
