Installed 08 Bullitt wheel from Clevenger

Doesn't provide the visible contrast like the stock IUP wheel, but it FEELS much nicer. I love the contoured grip. The leather on the top 2 spokes is a nice touch.

*****in!

Sorry guys, fixed. I added hotlink protection to my host and forgot to add this site.

Yeah, time to dust!

Looks good.. as far as the dust.. I swear digital camera's add 20lbs to every speck of dust in a car interior.

I did it the cheap way. I removed the IUP covers, sanded them and painted them Charcoal Metallic .... and it only cost $8 ...... Not quite as nice as the FRPP wheels ... but looks better.

Sorry, but the fascination with black trim eludes me. The brushed just brightens up the interior.

Do you notice the new wheel to have thicker grip (larger diameter)?

yup, it's a good contrast to the all black interior that looks the best IMO

Bought for feel, not look. It is a much nicer wheel as every hand contact area is leather, and the grip is much better.

Same diameter. The thumb cutouts make the difference, as well as the leather on the top two spokes. Much better feel than the plastic.

I installed the same wheel this spring, and I did it for the feel more than anything. I had a focus loaner last year that had those same grips on the wheel, and I really liked it. I bought mine from Clevenger too - great price and very fast shipping.

Cool Love the Bullitt Steering Wheel!!

Dan. Nice paint fix for all of that bright light reflection, caused by those IUP wheel covers! Looks pretty sharp Sir! Never thought of that cool looking possibility. We too bought our Bullitt steering wheel from Mr. "KC" at Clevenger Ford. Just love it! Easy install too. Got it to remove some of the bright reflection, for the better grip feel and also to give the cockpit area a much richer and IMO a very correct performance look! Just like the Bullitts and the GT-500s. Need I say more? CalStang

Have you felt the Bullitt/GT500 wheel? Way better. If the wheel was pink I still may have bought it. I really wasn't happy with the stock feel.

installed the bullitt wheel on my 08gtcs vert last month and love it!
Of course I didn't have the iup upgrade as my dealer told me the only thing the iup provided was the aluminum dash which would reflect too much in a vert. Later I found out I could have gotten the iup without the bright finish dashboard.
Fact: dealers are not car guys!

And how tough was the install?

I like the look and the wheel grips are really nice -- have them on my wife's TSX.
