i got me some new leather seats!

long time no post here, figured i would post my new recovers for my 05

it came with leather, that started to wear bad, so i have been hunting for some replacements,

i found some on ebay, full leather interior from a 2010 mustang GT...$295 shipped

when i got em in, i was sent the wrong rear seat, but they are taking care of me there, i shipped that back and they are re-shipping me the coupe rear seat

but anyways, i got my front seats recovered this week, did it all myself (pretty excited about saving $200 that a guy quoted me to do it)

these came with new foam for the seatbacks even!!!

what do you think?

Very nice! Do you have the seat-side aribags? Just wondering if there is a trick to re-covering them.

my 05 doesnt have sideairbags, the 2010s do but these didnt come with those, so there is just a void in the seatback foam where the bags would go, i just filled that void in with extra foam

Looks great. I can't believe how worn your original leather was. Did you ever treat the old leather with anything?

I picked up take offs too, for my convertible. They are in a box right now, and I'll put them on when my leather wears out. I got mine also from ebay for $249.

I wouldn't mind getting the 2010 with the striping, though!

Cheers

This is making it easier to justify picking some up. Been kicking this bucket myself!

Did they come with the foam attached to the seat that gives extra boulstering or did you just add layers of foam. If so where did you get this foam from?

Thanks. I am very interested.

Been meaning to pickup some 2010 leather since it looks like the bullitt style. Thanks for the link.

The seatbacks came with the foam attached...the seat re-used the original...the hogrings are a pain tho

Don't bother with the hog rings...use plastic zip-tyes, or what ever they are called. Did a leather swap myself, awhile ago (ebay take-offs, 195.00 shipped) and also added a pair of heated seat kits. Topless driving into November is fantastic!...as long as there is no snow on the ground.
