I bought Metra 70-5521 to install to mustang 2007gt. too bad I bought metra’s harness without checking inside of the car.

when I tried to install with the harness, I understood that the connector of 8pin harness for subwoofer can’t not be used cuz the harness from the car is converted by previous owner. fortunately, 20 pin harness was installed successfully and I can listen to music.

so please teach how should I do next to use factory subwoofer.

I'm gonna go every place I wanna go and share many pics there, but beforehand, i wanna install perfectly.
then, i wanna know many things but i'm stupid so i may make you confused and irritated but forgive me please....
anyway, after reading PDFs you shared, i deemed that if i cut the rca harness like first pic and connect the harness to them i draw red circle in second picture, subwoofer will function. do you think this is right decision??
or, i should no longer use this Metra's harness with RCA .

 

I Would Need To Know What Kind of Audio Unit You Have With Model Number . If You Have Instructions For Unit That Would Also Work. Did You Try & Go Through Interactive on Crutchfield? Don't Beat Yourself For Not Knowing Something. I Have Been Working With Questions For The S-197 Before One Even Hit The Showroom & I'm Certainly Still Learning Things! We are Patient & Polite Here For The Most Part So Relax & We Will Find a Solution.

Also a Scan of The Metra Wiring Instructions Would Be Good! If Not The Part Numbers You Got Would Be Helpful.

So To Be Clear Your Car Has C-290B Plug Cut Off & You Need To Splice Directly into or Install Repair Pigtail. If That is The Case it is Simply a Matter of Matching Pin Location To Pin Location. Look At The Color Codes on The Car Side & Using a Piece of Tape Number Each One as Per Pdf Pic. and Match To Pin Location on Metra Harness & Cut Wire & Splice. You Can Number Metra Ones as Well!

So Your Radio Has RCA Subwoofer Output Plugs??.

You may need something like this for the subs to work. I had to install one when I installed the dynavin in my car. I have the shaker 500.

 

Did Your Radio Have a Specific Sub Woofer Output or Were You Tapping Into Regular Radio Output??

When i refuse the radio, i saw a black plate something just like one you shared! Foolishly, I've cut the amplifer interface lol.

 

I cut this wiring Because i didn't know that it should be used... yes of course i am Foolish lol.
