Help with e-brake install

Sorry to hog the threads today, but I just got one of those nifty leather handled e-brakes from KC.

Can that install be done completely from underneath, or do you have to pull the console? If so, where are all the console nuts hidden?

Thanks.

You will have to remove the console to remove the handle. Pull the e-brake handle up as far as it will go. There are two screws one on each side of the console lid hinge remove them, then remove the trim ring or unscrew the shift **** and remove the shifter boot and the top of the console will pop right off. to remove the lower part of the console pull the two center stack wings towards you and they will pop off, remove the six bolts holding the center stack bezel. Then pull it towards you just enough to dicsonnect the power point, message center switches, traction control / hazard switches. Then reach through the drivers side of the c stack and unplug the blower connector. You should be able to pull the c stack bezel out enough to disconnect the other AC connector on the passenger side. It is one that uses the leaver to lock it in instead of the clip type. Set the c stack bezel aside and remove the two bolts from the from of the comsole and the two nuts in the bottom of the storage bin. Make sure you disconnect any wiring that attaches to the console and set the base aside. You should have full access to the e-braks handle to replace it. reverse teh steps ro re assemble. Be carefull when placing the top of the console over the e-brake handle so not to scratch it.
